Business Analyst vs. Software Engineer

Hey guys,
Today I am deciding between the professions of Business Analyst and Software engineer.  Essentially, all I care about is money and leisure so I will compare the average salaries of the two as well as the time flexibility.  An average Business analyst makes about $78000 per annum and typically has a pretty intense schedule as many systems need to be maintained, upgraded, or changed.  The business analyst can easily run into very complicated and stressful tasks that can take time in a situation where time may not be available.  A software engineer typically make around $96000 per annum and has a variable workflow.  Depending on the task at hand software engineers and put in a lot of time and effort into projects that may take a very long time.  Therefore, I would rather be a software engineer, as both jobs have similar stress and workloads though the engineer holds the higher average salary.
